Brining us to the Hockney survey at the Met. So many great Hockneys I did NOT photograph! Here, his move to LA. Exhibition Link

Such an exciting set of rooms--the post-school work, the London portraits, and the move to LA. The way the water goes pink across the swimmers back, the shadow cast by the observer, the collage-like combination of textures that is a characteristic throughout his work as well as a sense of lightness that corresponds with Hockney's love for Chinese painting--a truly wonderful artist.
Some Michelangelo drawings...from the stunning exhibition (what's with the Sistine chapel ceiling and scaffolding though?) Exhibition Link
