I just did something I have always wanted to do: take the New York Studio School Drawing Marathon with Graham Nickson. Full working days with models in gorgeous conditions--skylights, drapery adjusted perfectly, timers, grids--then evening critiques. I have not drawn with charcoal in years and the experience offered so much insight into my foibles, proclivities, philosophies. I cannot wait to get back into the studio.

EC, wow! Congrats on doing this. The drawings are gorgeous. So much structure... I want to hear more about this experience in person.
